My Hawk 5 arrived today, before I attempt to bind this later, I’m assuming the XM+ that is installed will be running the EU LBT Firmware, is that correct?
I believe emax only have the hawk 5 with international firmware on it. But it is possible to update it yourself via the smartport by hooking it upto your taranis
Ok, thanks Alex. I’d heard the XM+ was wired directly to pins on the FC, I’ll find out later! Presumably I’m going to have to unsolder that to flash it?
You dont need to desolder it as you can just hook/solder some wires onto the smart port connections. Whirlybloke on youtube had a nice guide showing you how to do this
