Minimosd / FTDI

Hi, I just received a minimosd and usb ftdi adapter from you.

The ftdi has no cables and only female header. Does it connect directly onto the minimosd? I want to config the OSD to only show the data points I’m interested in but the gnd pins don’t seem to match up? I brought this one as I kept getting bootloader issues with old unit so don’t want to mess this one up.

Hi
I use individual wires with terminals on both ends.
Only four are needed …
GND to GND
+5v to +5v (may be marked Vpp or similar)
TX to RX
RX to TX (yes, these are reserved)
Set voltage to 5v (not 3.3) if your FTDI board has a switch
