Order Number: #699635
Product Name: Betafpv Air 75 Brushless Whoop Quadcopter - Elrs 2.4ghz
Brand: BetaFPV
i was taking off after landing the drone and found it wasn’t arming, i then picked it up and found the solder from all the motor wires had come off causing it to not work
i picked it up and looked at the motor wires and board
Thanks, could you send a quick photo that isn’t blurry showing the solder points so I can pass those onto betafpv to request a replacement for you, as it’s a bit hard to see what’s going on in those photos. Then we should be able to get this resolved for you!strong text
also if I can get a replacement how would it work
Once the issue is confirmed with BetaFPV, if the confirm the part that is at issue (FC or motor) they will send the replacement part for you to install yourself. Once I hear back I will update you and we can go from there!
Kind Regards
Alex

i think it might be the fc as the motor was working completely fine
and when i spin it its completely fine
Hello Aidan,
We just got a reply from our manufacturer. Please see below:
"It appears the wire came off the FC(A welding problem).
The motor wire can be soldered back to the FC. Definitely not a power issue."
Can you please try to solder them as per their advice?

will this effect the warranty of the quad as I don’t want to do anything to it if it means I cant just return it and get a replacement
Hi, soldering connections is part of the hobby and is not something that will automatically void any warranty. The only time this does is if the soldering is done carelessly and causes damage by burning a hole in the FC, or splattering solder to cause a short etc…
If you do not wish to solder it yourself as you are not comfortable with this process, you can return it back to us to do this for you, however we are probably looking at around 10 day lead time since one of our team is currently on holiday and we have a backlog of returns to process once he gets back.
Just let me know!
would i be able to get a replacement as i do not have a soldering iron at the moment
Hello Aidan,
After carefully reviewing the situation, we’ve determined that the problem was caused by incorrect soldering, which unfortunately falls outside our replacement policy.
However, we understand that you may not have the necessary equipment to fix the issue yourself. As a solution, we would be happy to offer to repair the item for you. But then again, please note it will take 7-10 business days. If you’re interested, please let us know, and we’ll provide further instructions on how to proceed.
Best,

incorrect soldering from the factory?
I don’t understand why faulty soldering should fall outside of a replacement policy? If the product sold is faulty and stops working then under my consumer rights I’m entitled to either a refund or a replacement that works. I’ve purchased this in good faith and through no fault of my own, now own something that doesn’t work. I do not want to try and fix anything myself so would appreciate your confirmation that you will either give me a refund (& I will return the product) or send a replacement.
