Team Black Sheep’s Lucid Range: New Tech to End Your Drone Tinker Tantrums

This is a companion topic for our recent blog post on blog.unmanned.tech

Team Black Sheep (TBS) has unveiled their new Lucid range, featuring flight controllers, electronic speed controllers (ESCs), and power distribution boards (PDBs). These latest gadgets aim to smooth out the usual drone tinkering trials and tribulations, all while making a grand entrance amidst ongoing supply chain woes. TBS, already famed for their Crossfire system, is broadening its horizons—this time offering support not just for quadcopters but also for wings.

The TBS Lucid Wing PDB, priced at about £14 (or the rough equivalent of an average pub pint), can handle up to 14 cells (14S) and integrates seamlessly with standard quad flight controllers. Meanwhile, the TBS Lucid 12S 90A ESC is available for roughly £40. It’s equipped with AM32 software, which is apparently the latest must-have in the drone world. For those partial to a bit of choice, there are also four-in-one ESC options to consider.

In the flight controller arena, TBS brings us a trio of options to suit various budgets. You can opt for the TBS Lucid FC Freestyle for around £30 or splash out on the premium TBS Lucid H7 FC at £50. Each version comes packed with features to keep even the fussiest of drone enthusiasts satisfied (or so they say).

In summary, TBS appears to be back in the game with their Lucid offerings, promising to tickle the fancy of drone hobbyists and perhaps even the odd professional. Keep your eyes peeled for further updates as we inch closer to winter and the inevitable urge to fly a quadcopter indoors.
