Fitting these motors to a working build and it became dangerous to fly. After a hard roll it would sometimes (no pattern, just sometimes, normally every other time) apply pitch, roll and throttle in whatever combo it felt like. could well he a desync or micro desyncs, it would also sometimes wobble hard rather than shoot off or just death roll. It didn’t always death roll which makes me question desyncs, sometimes it would just roll then go! (I didn’t take any pictures other than the one uploaded with those motors fitted as I wanted to test my old ones to see if it worked before I thought about sending them back)
Swapped with old motors and issues are gone. Tried stock tune and the supafly tune (supafly flipmini frame). Stripped the build twice and rebuilt. Tried several different type props. Tried changing the boots and just running straight bolts (the ones provided) also checking each time that they didn’t touch the motor windings (not even close). The build is currently back on the old motors and flying perfectly (although I have to still deal with t mount props!)
Have been speaking with Supafly Steve and hes gone over my settings, i’ve matched his (basically the same as i had) and its still unflyable. if you arm you can hear the motors chaning RPM (on the floor) and then any throttle it goes to the moon. Not happy i’ve gone through 2 fresh sets of props, all the TPU arm bumpers and damage to the frame… old motors back on again and it works fine. I feel there is some kind of manufacturing defect with these motors.
