Order Number: ORDER 6314
Product Name: Maple Wireless Dji N3 Antenna
Brand: Maple Wireless
I have installed as per instructions video however i am not reaching full 60mbps bit rate through the goggles. It’s a dji o4 vtx which normally hits 60mbps stable with stock antennas
not much i could do, i took it apart checked connections, all fine
Thanks for getting in touch, and for the details.
Assuming you’ve fitted the Maple Wireless N3 antennas to your DJI Goggles N3, it’s worth noting these are directional / higher-gain antennas. They can improve performance in the direction they’re aimed, but bitrate can be less consistent if the aircraft moves outside the main beam (for example when turning/banking, flying above/below you, or if the antennas aren’t aimed toward the model). The flying environment also has a big impact, especially around trees/buildings or low to the ground where reflections can cause short fades.
A couple of quick checks that usually help:
-
Confirm installation location
Just to be sure we’re looking at the right thing: can you confirm the N3 antennas are installed on the goggles, not the O4 VTX? -
Check the U.FL/IPEX connectors are fully seated
Please double check each connector is pressed fully home. They should “snap” into place and sit flat. A connector that’s slightly off can still look OK but cause noticeable signal loss. When removing/refitting, pull straight up/down and avoid twisting. -
Aiming / orientation
Ensure the flat face of each directional antenna is generally pointing toward where you’re flying most. For a test, try to keep the aircraft broadly in front of you and avoid flying directly overhead. -
Quick A/B test
If you can, test stock antennas vs N3 antennas in the same spot, same settings, and note the bitrate at roughly the same distance (e.g. 50–100 m).
To help us pin this down quickly, could you reply with:
-
A quick photo showing how they’re mounted on your Goggles N3
-
The bitrate you’re seeing (and roughly what distance/altitude when it drops)
-
Goggles firmware version
-
Whether this was tested in an open field or around trees/buildings
Once we have that, we can also pass the details and photos over to the manufacturer for confirmation and any specific guidance on orientation/installation if needed.
