Dear Unmanned Tech Shop Team,

I hope you’re well.

I’m writing to you regarding a recent purchase — the Flywoo GOKU F405 HD

Order number #732119.

Last week I was flying the drone without any issues, and everything with the flight controller was working perfectly. I then left it unused for about a week, and now, when I went to fly again, one of the motors won’t spin. After some troubleshooting, it appears that one of the built-in ESCs is no longer being recognised, so 3 of them spin and one doesn’t and only 3 ESCs come up in the configurator.

Just to mention, I’ve binned the original packaging, I’m afraid.

As the board is still quite new and my soldering is sound, I was hoping I could send it in for inspection or possibly arrange an exchange under warranty?

I’d really appreciate your help with this.

Kind regards,
Dan
So I went to fly it and only 3 props were spinning, so I plugged into the FC and I spun up the motors 3 didn’t work.

I then swapped the motor around and tested the motor on a different esc, motor is fine

So then I went I to BL configurator, the online one and read ESCs and only 3 showed up. One was missing, I tried it in a couple other esc programs.

Happy to send to you guys for you to have a go.

Hi Daniel good day,

I am sorry to see you struggling with your AIO. Your soldering does seem sound, I can see any immediate issues with the images you sent us. I have sent your comments, images and video through to Flywoo and have asked one of their engineers to take a look for us and provide some feedback.

As soon as I hear back from them I will let you know.

Just as a side note, if you ever have an instance like this in the future where you need to modify (solder) a manufacturers product to get it to work, take photos of it before desoldering. This helps us greatly when speaking to manufacturers as we can then show that soldering was not the reason for a fault.

If there is anything I can help with in the meantime, please do let me know.

Regards,
David
