Order #729284 - Iflight F411 Pro Aio - No lights after dump all

Order Number: 729284
Product Name: Iflight F411 Pro Aio
Brand: iFlight RC
I plugged it in before soldering then dump all in cli then set up the aio in my build i did notice the lights go out and thought it was because i didn’t have nothing soldered onto the board so after putting it in my build there still no lights on the aio they come on when plug in then go out and it lets me in betaflight all my elrs lights up and connects but nothing when i plug a battery in i get the esc sound but not the fc sound
I reflashed kept it on the stock betaflight it come with then flashed to latest betaflight amd still have same issue

Hi Lee good day,

Thanks for reaching out to us!
Sorry to hear you are struggling with your drone.

I believe there is possibly a short-circuit in the system now, given that you could pull/push the set-up to the CLI previously. The FC not completing the tone, or initialising correctly, is often caused by this.

Desoldering your components connect to the board one-by-one will probably isolate the issue, unless the board has been damaged now. Let me know if that isolates the issue and we can take it from there.

Hope this helps.
If there is anything else I can help with please do let me know?

Regards,
David

Hi Lee good day again,

Can you send us some well lit photos of the top and underside of the board?

Good morning Lee,

Thank you for the photos, those do help us, explain the situation to iFlight.

I have already sent the images, description and video through to iFlight and I have asked them to take a look an make some recommendations for us.

This should not take long, and I will try to get this sorted out for you as quickly as I can.

Ok brilliant thank you

Hi Lee good day,

Please can you return the unit so Nathan, our drone engineer, can inspect the board.

I have spoken with iFlight, they said the same as I did, its possibly a short-circuit, else it is a firmware issue, but they cannot say for certain without inspecting it.

Please return all original packaging, paperwork and manuals for the product and any spares or ancillaries which came along with the unit.

Thank you for submitting your return request. An RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) has been created for your order.

You should receive an email shortly at the address associated with your order. This email will contain:

  1. Your RMA number

  2. A link to our RMA form

Remember to complete the RMA form and initiate your return within 30 days. If you have any questions, feel free to ask them in this thread.

Hope this helps.

Aio has been returned back to you

Hi david can u confirm item been returned back and how long does it usually take to get it tested ect had to go out and buy another aio to get me out and flying as it is the only thing that helps with my daily struggles and now out of pocket £60 that was going to be used for more bits to keep memout flying for longer

Same old when something is wrong and having to retun… communication is very poor in keeping the custmer upto scratch with whats going on with the product/ return… fast enough to take the money and ship but any issues and its a nightmare and from reading the threads i see about the support on returns its expected

Hi Lee,

Thank you again for your patience, and please accept our sincere apologies for the delay in providing a conclusive update on your return. We understand your frustration with the communication lapse, and we appreciate you bearing with us.

Currently, we don’t have an automated system to track return deliveries and notify customers immediately upon receipt, which explains why you didn’t receive an immediate update right after it arrived. I agree how we have handed communication with you since sending the return isn’t ideal, and we are looking into ways to improve our returns communication, particularly about returns processing. However, we can confirm your AIO board was received back here late on Friday afternoon (April 25th). We have completed the inspection yesterday afternoon (Monday, April 28th, the next working day), which confirmed that the main MCU on the board is shorted.

I have discussed this situation with the manufacturer, iFlight. Unfortunately, they have informed us they are not accepting this as a warranty claim. Their reasoning is that the MCU issue was reported only after the flight controller had been soldered, and they attribute failures in such circumstances potentially to user error during the soldering process. Liaising with iFlight to get their assessment was necessary before we could finalise things, contributing to the time taken.

Despite iFlight’s decision, we value your business and understand this situation has been inconvenient, especially needing to purchase a replacement. Therefore, as a gesture of goodwill, we have decided to proceed with a full refund for the faulty AIO board.

We are processing this refund now. You should see the funds returned to your original payment method within the next 3-5 business days, depending on your bank’s processing times.

I hope this resolution is satisfactory. Thank you again for reaching out and allowing us to resolve this for you.

Kind Regards

Alex
