Hi Neil good day,

I picked up your chat ticket with our Bot. I emailed you back on the 16th of this month regarding your initial ticket you created for the AIO.

Would you be able to send us a few more details so I can try to get this sorted out for you?

Can you send me some photos of the top and bottom sides of the AIO so I can take a look?

What are you using to try flash the ESC?
Have you been able to flash firmware to the ESC?

I understand providing these details is a bit tedious, but this helps with consulting with the manufacturer and getting to a resolution as quickly as possible. Usually, if the product is faulty we can get it replaced without needing you to return or send it back to us.

We consult with the manufacturer concerned purely to get sound advice on the root cause of the problem.

I hope this helps.

If there is anything else I can asssit with please do let me know.

Regards,
David

no point off photo has heat sink on it used the right program esc configurator cant get to esc

Hi Neil good day again,

I spoke with Nathan about the issue you have been having here, our drone engineer, he asked if you are able to flash indiviaul ESC’s? And not try to flash them all in one go.

He doesn’t think it is faulty as in his experience if they are faulty usually you can’t recognise any of the individual ESC’s.

Nathan suggested checking if you are flashing the correct FW and version as this can often lead to odd issues like this.

Please let me know if this helps?

David

yes have i no what im doing have done it before a lot lol cant get to esc ,it has heat sink on i was going to try c2 interface but cant

Thanks for the quick reply and confirming your experience. Understood about the heat sink potentially blocking direct C2 access, although typically flashing via Betaflight/INAV passthrough using ESC Configurator shouldn’t require using the C2 pads directly.

To help narrow this down, could you clarify a couple of things from your latest attempt:

  1. ESC Detection: When you connect to ESC Configurator (with the LiPo plugged in), does it detect any of the ESCs, or does it fail to connect to all of them? (e.g., Does it show 3 ESCs and fail on one, or does it show “0 ESCs found”?)
  2. Individual Flashing: Did you get a chance to try reading/flashing each ESC individually within the configurator, rather than using the “Flash All” option? Sometimes one problematic ESC can stop the whole process.
  3. Firmware Check: Can you confirm the exact Bluejay firmware version you are trying to flash? Just want to ensure compatibility.

Also, let’s try checking the basics via the flight controller software:

  1. Betaflight/INAV Connection: Does the flight controller connect successfully to Betaflight Configurator (or INAV, whichever you’re using)?
  2. Motors Tab Test (Props OFF!): If it connects to Betaflight/INAV, can you go to the Motors tab, enable the safety toggle, and carefully try spinning each motor individually using the sliders (ensure a LiPo is connected)? Does this work for all motors, some, or none? This tests the basic communication between the FC and ESCs.

Regarding the heat sink, we generally don’t recommend removing it unless absolutely necessary, as it’s there for thermal management. Standard flashing via passthrough shouldn’t require its removal.

Let us know the results of these checks, particularly points 1 and 5, as that will give us the best indication of whether it’s a configuration issue, a connection problem, or potentially a hardware fault with one or more ESCs.

Kind Regards

Alex
