New computer - will this affect existing/ future settings on Arducopter 2.8 flight controller?

I am forced to replace my laptop. I know the com port settings are important on mission planner and this will probably be a problem introducing a new computer. What is my best course of action. Will I have to clear all existing settings on Apm board and re-load or are there other options?

No, you just need to install the APM drivers onto your new PC. You can then read all the settings from your APM and save them to a file as the settings them self are all stored on the APM board (EEPROM)
