The Happymodel Mobula7 has landed, promising tight-space freestyle flying with its 2S micro DJI O4 Lite design. However, before you get too excited and start plotting your aerial acrobatics, Rimzler’s latest review reveals that it’s impressive in build quality and efficiency, yet the fixed camera angle and inconsistent flight tuning leave it teetering on the edge of “almost perfect.”
In the box, you’ll find an accessory bag that somehow manages to include a propeller removal tool—because what’s a drone without a bit of DIY? The Mobula7 is a remarkably resilient little beast at just 37 grams but be warned: its camera angle is fixed at a rather inconvenient 15-20 degrees, which might dampen your indoor flying fantasies.
Flight testing showed that the Mobula7 prefers a heftier battery—530mAh or 550mAh for a smoother ride—while the 450mAh version made it twitchy enough to ruffle even the calmest of flyers. While it boasts efficiency with over five minutes of flight time, it does tend to play coy when faced with a breeze, leaving you longing for a more reliable companion for those windy days in the park.
So, if you’re after something that performs decently in calm environments and can make a right mess of things in a slight gust, the Mobula7 could be your bet. Just remember, it still hasn’t cracked the code to perfect PID tuning, so don’t expect it to be the life of the party just yet.
