Thank you for reaching out to us.
We understand that you are experiencing issues with your flight controller after soldering and are concerned about potential damage to the board. A fault like this is most likely caused by a short circuit. To assist you further, could you please send us some more photos showing your soldering and wiring on the flight controller? It seems that these were not included in your initial message.
Once we have these photos, we can discuss the situation with GepRC to see if they can agree to a replacement under warranty or if they need any additional information.
Additionally, could you please confirm the type of battery you were using when you encountered this issue?
We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to resolving this matter for you as soon as possible.
How would you rate our customer service?
Kind Regards
Alex

Hi, an issue like this is often caused by a short, and since you’ve already soldered onto the board, we need to check this and confirm all the connections before we can return it. If we provide the photos as they are to Geprc, they will reject any warranty as they will say the issue is caused by soldering.
This is why on all the product pages, we request our customers to test everything first under USB before soldering to ensure it’s working as it should. If something has a factory fault, it will show up before soldering. After soldering, it’s a lot harder to get manufacturers to agree on replacements unless you can show that it’s all been done correctly.
Should you not wish to provide this, I can send a request over to Geprc, and we can see what they say. However, it’s more likely for them to issue a replacement if you can show that it was all soldered correctly and to a high quality.
Repairing this FC is possible, but given the time and cost, it’s actually going to be cheaper to buy a new one.
Hi
I hope you’re doing well.
Thank you for your patience while we reviewed your case with GEPRC. Unfortunately, GEPRC has determined that the issue with your product is due to some solder splatter near the receiver connectors, which they believe is not a factory fault. Please see the attached image for reference.
Because of this, GEPRC is not willing to replace the item under warranty at this stage.
However, we understand that this is frustrating, and we want to help as much as we can. If you can provide any additional information or context about the issue, we can continue to advocate on your behalf and try to get this resolved. While it may be unlikely, we are still here to support you in any way we can.
Thank you for your understanding, and please let us know if there’s anything else we can assist you with.
Kind Regards
Alex

It’s what I expected to be honest, we have only just started tinkering with drones and soldering so it probably was our fault.
Would I be able to send it in and have a new board fitted please.
I know you are busy so whenever is fine with me.
Thanks
Hi
I am sorry but at the moment we have a big backlog of build work we are doing, so it will probably take around 4 weeks before we can start this repair. And it will be around 2x engineering fees to complete the rebuild. But if this is something you are ok to wait for, please place the order via our website here https://www.unmannedtechshop.co.uk/product/engineering-drone-build-customisation-fee/ and let me know the order number so we can book this in.
Kind Regards
