DIY Racing Drone

Hey Guys,

I’m trying to build a racing drone and I’m really confused about the frame I should use for my drone, consumer drones are good but they don’t last long. I’m confused between these two frames for now:
Armattan Chameleon Frame 5
Martian II 220 220mm 4mm Arm

If you know any better frame then please let me know.

The details of the rest of the parts I’m going to use is the following:
DYS F4 Omnibus Flight Controller
Racerstar RS30A V2 30A (ESCs)
Brotherhobby Tornado T1 1407 3600KV (Motors)
Tattu R-Line 1550mAh 95C 4S1P

I’ve done my research, I’m not sure whether will it work or not? So if any of you could help me, that would means a lot.

Thank You!

The Motors seem to be a bit too small…
The Standard Motor size for 5 inch Quads is 2205 (Freestyle 2306 / racing 2207)
Both Frames are great… The Chameleon is a higher Quality Frame but the Martian is a good beginner Frame…
(You can really tell that the Martian is low Budget but the Price is unbeatable)

Which motor do you think would be best according the drone I’m going to build? Any suggestions?

Motors are always difficult to pick your running 30A esc’s so that give you lots of options.
Now your biggest restricting is price.

Your be fine with most 2205/2206/2207 motors careful with 2306 motors they may pull more amps than your esc’s can handle.

I run these and they work well for me :

Before that it was:

and stall have a working set on my backup quad.

These look like good cheap motors (2206) £9.48

They have 2207 and 2306 editions too.
Emax make good motors too if you looking for more of a name.

I hope this helps.
