The Axisflying Cineon 35 V3: Beauty or Burden? A Deep Dive Review

This is a companion topic for our recent blog post on blog.unmanned.tech

Rimzler’s latest review of the Axisflying Cineon 35 V3 raises the age-old question: is beauty only skin deep? This 3.5-inch Cinewhoop comes with some striking specs—a robust carbon frame and Axisflying 206 motors that promise an impressive flying experience. However, at a hefty 400 grams (without the camera), it appears that elegance may have come at the cost of agility and battery life.

The first test flight revealed that the drone can handle itself quite well despite its bulk, managing around four minutes of flight time. Yet, when burdened with a 1700mAh battery and an action camera, the experience was noticeably heavier, leading to a frustrating mix of stability and sluggishness. The lack of direct access to the SD card slot for the O3 camera doesn’t help either, forcing users to engage in USB-C acrobatics instead.

Design-wise, the Cineon 35 V3 is undeniably attractive, but its weight compromises overall performance, particularly compared to lighter competitors like the GepRC CineWoop. While it does boast some high-quality output and minimal jello effect during flight, the inconsistent OSD functionality might leave you feeling rather let down—much like a soggy biscuit.

In summary, while the Axisflying Cineon 35 V3 has its charms, prospective buyers should weigh the pros and cons carefully. If you fancy a drone that’s as much a conversation starter as it is a flying machine, you might just find this one appealing.
