Rimzler has taken the Rate L40Pro for a spin, and it appears we’re dealing with a sub-250g, 4-inch marvel that aims to blend affordability with a whisper of performance. It’s not here to punch you in the face with raw power but rather to glide quietly through the skies with a nod towards cinematic elegance—if only it didn’t come with a side order of spare parts anxiety.
The L40Pro is well-tuned and surprisingly stable, boasting impressive handling, though one might want to keep an eye on the crash risk, as support for spare parts is about as scarce as a cup of tea at a coffee convention. The craft arrives sans camera or GPS, which is a bit like buying a car without wheels.
We’re looking at 1505 motors with 2800KV paired with a 30A all-in-one ESC designed for efficiency rather than speed. Rimzler clocked a leisurely cruise speed of 60-70 km/h, all while maintaining a noise level that wouldn’t disturb even the most delicate of British sensitivities to sound.
In summary, if you’re keen on a drone that promises quiet cruising and decent flight endurance without the headache of excessive weight, the L40Pro might just be worth a gander. Just remember, if you crash it, you might be waiting a while for parts, so consider keeping your fingers crossed while flying.
