The BetaFPV Pavo20 Pro II might not be winning any awards for groundbreaking innovation, but it’s certainly managed to polish the already impressive original. Weighing in at a respectable 113.38 grams (155.86 grams with its Beta Lava 550 3S battery), this little quad boasts a stable flight tune that effectively banishes zero-throttle wobble—no more airborne tantrums, thank you very much.
While BetaFPV hasn’t completely reinvented the wheel, they’ve added some handy tweaks: RGB LEDs powered by a dainty daughter board, dual antenna options, and additional camera mounting brackets for those keen on swapping gear. The motor connectors are a delightful touch too, making repairs less of a chore and more of a “do it in the field” affair.
Of course, it’s not all tea and scones; the daughter board’s placement is a potential weak spot—crash and you could be in for a bit of a bother. The camera mount offers decent protection but won’t save it from a full-speed collision. Still, with a reported flight time of around three minutes when pushing hard, you’ll want to make those flights count.
In short, if you’re after a compact quad that delivers reliable performance without the faff, the Pavo20 Pro II is worth a look. It’s the sensible choice for those who appreciate a bit of refinement over outright spectacle.
