Order #6309 - Tbs Lucid Aio 1-2s Fc - One of motors doesn't work

Order Number: 6309
Product Name: Tbs Lucid Aio 1-2s Fc
Brand: Team Black Sheep
One motor not spin when armed, rest 3 working as should.
I have swapped the motors around and found the issue remains on the same ESC regardless of motor.

Hi there, thanks for the detailed report and for swapping the motors to isolate the issue — that’s exactly the right first step.

Since the fault stays on the same ESC regardless of which motor is connected, the next logical area to check is the ESC/MOSFETs on that channel.

We have a step-by-step MOSFET/ESC test guide that walks you through how to confirm whether the ESC itself is damaged:
:backhand_index_pointing_right: How to check your ESC and find out if a MOSFET is brokenhttps://help.unmannedtech.co.uk/portal/en-gb/kb/articles/how-to-check-your-esc-and-find-out-if-a-mosfet-is-broken (UMT Help Center)

To summarise the core steps in that guide:

  • Visually inspect the ESC for any obvious burn marks or damaged components

  • Use a multimeter in continuity mode with the battery disconnected to test each motor phase from the ESC pads

    • If you get continuity where you shouldn’t, that can point to a MOSFET that’s failed
  • If the continuity test suggests a fault, the article also shows how to isolate which MOSFET(s) are affected

If your continuity results don’t show a MOSFET fault, the issue could be elsewhere — for example:

  • Flight controller output configuration / pin mapping
  • Firmware/BLHeli settings (sometimes reflashing ESC firmware can fix this)

You can re-check connections and settings there as well.

Let us know what you find from the MOSFET continuity check — that will help us advise on the best next step (replacement, RMA, etc). But we find that usually burnt MOSFETS is not something covered under warranty, but we will talk with TBS nonetheless to see what we can do.

Esc number 2 have wrong firmware installed

Reflashed ESC and works fine. Sorry for disturbing.

Hi Mantas,

Great news! Thanks for the update and for troubleshooting the ESC firmware issue yourself. Reflashing resolved it perfectly – well done.

No further action needed from our side. If anything else comes up with order #6309 or other gear, just let us know.

Happy flying! :rocket:
