Used ear buds in jack outlet and this eliminated the fault - sound is crisp and clean with no issues
Hi, what volume is the voice set to, as from the sounds of it the little speaker inside is maxing out which is causing that, as I cant run my one on full volume without this issue aswell? Please let me know and I can then pass this onto Radiomaster also to get their feedback to confirm if its faulty or just a limitation of the quality of the speaker included in the radio.

I’ve checked on the radio and yes the vol was set to max. And yes, the effect does decrease, certainly, if not disappear at mid range volumes. So it does appear that the speaker is maxing out as you suggest.
It begs the question why Radiomaster are sourcing and using a speaker that can’t handle the designed volume output of the radio? Can they supply a more appropriate replacement speaker, if it can easily fitted ( a little soldering maybe ) by the end user?
When flying I certainly appreciate warnings or information that is clearly audible, especially on a windy hillside, or in the noisy nitro IC model environment.

Thanks for confirming, I will pass this onto Radiomaster and see if they have any suggestions about this, as maybe they can confirm the radio speaker is faulty and arrange a replacement for you, but I will check and let you know.

Good morning Nivj,
Radiomaster responded saying this is normal, and mostly due to the low resolution of the audio file itself.
I have asked if it is possible to replace it with a better option, I’m not sure if that would in fact fix the issue or not, but I asked anyway.
Will let you know what they say.

We had this response from RadioMaster:
“Sorry, we don’t have any alternative, if the customer wants a replacement, note that the speaker needs 8ohm 3W.”
