The Emax Tinyhawk NanoScout HD has passed the squish test with flying colours—or should we say, gently bobbing along. Designed for beginners, this little marvel not only survives your living room antics but also comes equipped with HDZero for that crisp video experience and an ExpressLRS receiver to keep you connected. It’s like having a trusty sidekick, but significantly less chatty.
When unboxing, you’ll find all the necessary bits including a pair of goggles, a radio, and the NanoScout itself. We even threw in spare props and a tiny screwdriver because, let’s face it, everyone needs a bit of DIY in their lives, even if it’s just to tighten a screw or two and feel like a champion. The robust build is designed to endure, which is quite handy when you’re inevitably turning your house into a makeshift race track.
Weighing in at a feather-light 23.5 grams (before the battery), you may lament its lack of competitive speed, but it makes up for it in durability and ease of use. Expect about two and a half minutes of flight time, which is plenty for a quick jaunt around the living room—unless your cat decides to join in, then all bets are off.
So, who should consider this pint-sized powerhouse? If you’re dipping your toes into FPV, prefer indoor flying, and fancy something that won’t turn into a pile of bits on first impact, the NanoScout HD is your best bet. Just remember, if you’re after something to race at breakneck speeds, you might want to look elsewhere.
