Hello, I’ve only now gotten around to installing this today I believe it’s DOA, I’ve used these gps modules for a long time, and this one heated up extremely hot with no light at all. Double-checked the wires and even tried on another flight controller with no luck at all. Ive never had one heat up like that before, there was no smell or smoke but I unplugged it asap
Tried on another FC, Double checked wires and set up. Used a smoke detector when first plugging in also.

Because of this, when a fault occurs, their default position is often to suspect external factors first, such as incorrect wiring, soldering issues, or incorrect voltage/polarity, as these are common failure causes they encounter.

To help me build the strongest possible case for you with Flywoo and push for a replacement, could you please send over a clear photo showing how the GPS wires were connected to your flight controller? Knowing the specific model of the flight controller(s) you tested it with would also be very helpful.

This information isn’t to doubt your setup – especially given your experience – but rather to proactively provide Flywoo with evidence demonstrating everything was connected correctly. This strengthens our argument that the issue lies internally with the GPS unit itself.
