Order Number: #696948
Product Name: Beta Fpv Cetus X Fpv Drone Starter Kit (Betaflight Version)
Brand: BetaFPV
I ordered the BetaFPV Cetus X FPV Drone Starter Kit (BetaFlight Version) from yourselves on 03.08.24 and although the drone works fine, I have just come to use the FPV goggles and the image does not appear through the goggles at all. I have tried all methods (changing channels and bands, auto searching etc and nothing works). I can see the drone details through the goggles and even when the drone is set to ‘Armed’ but the screen does not show the drone view which leads me to think the actual camera on the drone is faulty. It is also strange that I was on a waiting list for this drone and was advised that they were due In a few weeks when suddenly one become available. I am wondering if this has been sent back to you previously for the same issue and re shipped?
Again, we have watched YouTube videos, followed every instruction etc, no success at all.
Thanks
Luke
Read through manual multiple times
- Powered on the googles and drone
- moved the Ariel to be vertical
- press and hold frequency button for 2-3 seconds until beep to activate frequency search
- short pressed to manually change frequency after no image appeared for auto frequency
- ensured drone connected to goggles (it is as I can see the drone information through the goggles just no image)
- ensure the best frequencies are selected (green or white no red or yellow)
- ensure the batteries are charged
- started the drone etc
All of the above result in no live image being displayed.
Hi
Thanks for providing a detailed fault report, and its clear that the camera itself is faulty. So we can offer to get a replacement C04 camera sent out to ASAP so that you can install it yourself to get back up and running again. Otherwise if this is not something you are comfortable with its best to return the kit back to us. Please let me know which option you prefer so we can get this actioned for you.
How would you rate our customer service?
Kind Regards
Alex

Hi Alex,
I think we have two email threads going on here somehow, please see my previous reply that I am awaiting answers on:
Hi Alex,
Thanks for coming back to me. I have just checked the connections as advised and all appear fine!
I am happy to replace the camera however just want to know:
Depending on your answer to the above two questions I can then decide on which route to go down.
Thanks
Luke
Hi Luke,
Most tinywhoop cameras on pre-assembled drones are a matter of a few screws and a connector or two, but it does sometimes vary between models and batches even, so it would be worth you visually inspecting the drone beforehand to determine whether you believe you can complete the work yourself (as e.g. if there’s soldering involved that you’re not comfortable with, or anything else, we can do the work for you - it just takes a little longer than simply shipping out a camera to you).
We do ask that customers only complete at-home-repairs if they’re happy and confident in their ability to do so. If there’s an issue afterwards that is directly related to an incorrect installation of the camera, that might not be covered. However, if it’s unrelated, then it would be assessed as an independant fault under warranty.
If you have any additional questions or concerns, please do feel free to ask and I or one of the team will get back to you agian ASAP.
Best regards,
Cameron

I have checked and the camera on this drone is just a simple plug in (no soldering).
Please can you arrange shipment of the replacement camera and let me know the expected delivery date?
Thanks Cameron.
Luke
