This is a companion topic for our recent blog post on blog.unmanned.tech
Beware of the rather dodgy site, DJI-US.com, which is masquerading as an official DJI store. It’s a classic case of “if it looks too good to be true, it probably is.” This imposter site has been luring unsuspecting customers with fake stock and all the bells and whistles of the real deal—sans any actual legitimacy, of course.
Mads Tech has done us all a favour by breaking down the multitude of red flags surrounding this site. From its suspicious lack of contact details (no phone number? How convenient) to the rather flimsy corporate identity that’s a mere echo of a dissolved UK company, you’d be better off tossing your cash into the nearest pond than giving it to these chancers.
So, if you’re after DJI gear, do yourself a solid and head to the proper dji.com and follow the links to the official store. If you’ve unfortunately already made a payment, it’s high time to contact your bank or PayPal before you’re left holding nothing but regret and a fancier-than-average email from a scammer.
