BetaFPV MATRIX 5in1 Whoop FC

This is a companion topic for our recent blog post on blog.unmanned.tech

Painless360 has recently introduced the BetaFPV MATRIX 5in1 Whoop FC, a splendid piece of kit for those dabbling in Whoop drones. This all-in-one flight controller crams in a flight controller, video transmitter with OSD, ESCs, and an ExpressLRS receiver—all while keeping it lighter than your average Tesco sandwich at just 3.92 grams. Quite the accomplishment, I must say.

The specs are rather impressive, boasting an SM32G473 processor that delivers around 50% more performance than its predecessors, along with a gyro equipped with 16MB black box memory. With four UART ports and VTX output of up to 400mW, it’s as adept at indoor flying as it is at strutting its stuff outside. For those who’ve ever felt like a tangled mess when building drones, this might just be your saving grace.

Setup is straightforward—thanks in part to the USB port being conveniently external. This means less rummaging around like you’re searching for your last pair of clean socks. The default configuration supports Betaflight 4.5, so you’ll be off to the races before you know it.

All in all, the BetaFPV MATRIX 5in1 Whoop FC is a no-brainer for anyone looking to elevate their Whoop game. It’s compact, efficient, and a rather nifty evolution in drone tech. If you fancy giving your drone a bit of a makeover, this is well worth a look.
