I know you are supposed to notify airports within 5 miles if you are flying. I know about registration. Any opinion on this? Any consequences or experiences from any members here?
awhile ago I went to visit family and wanted to fly at a spot that was on the edge of an airdrome
I emailed the control tower ahead of time to request permissions.
They asked me for dates, times, pictures, purpose, range, flight times and the weight of my quad.
After I gave them all that they replied saying it was fine as I weighed less than 7kg.
and gave me pemission to fly.
If you carful and don’t fly too close and at least let the control towers know you there.
They may not have a problem.
Just fly smart.
