Order Number: 736134
Product Name: Tbs Crossfire Diveristy Nano Rx
Brand: Team Black Sheep
The reciever has been soldered, I have ensured all connections and it is configured in BF. However I don’t even have any lights on the reciever. This has been sitting in my drawer for a year as I haven’t had the use for it. However upon trying to add it to a new build it is completely dead. Where do I stand on this?
I’ve tried rebooting quad, resoldering on the reciever, changing the wire that goes to the FC, and I’ve tried rebooting FC in BF several times. Changed all UART incase it was on the wrong one. None of this even lit up a light on the reciever.
Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out about your TBS Crossfire Diversity Nano Rx. I’m sorry to hear it’s showing no signs of life — that’s definitely frustrating.
I’ve reviewed your photos and video, and I can see that your wiring and soldering all look clean and correct. I have not verified with the pinout of your FC, and I would also suggest you check the pins on any connectors are not bent/shorted.
I do want to be upfront with you: you mentioned the receiver has been sitting in a drawer for about a year, and our standard returns window is 30 days from delivery and we offer 180 days warranty for faulty items. That said, we will still work with you and TBS to try and help to — which may include submitting a warranty claim to TBS on your behalf. But TBS prefer if customers contact them directly about product faults since they take feedback onboard to improve products in the future, Here is their helpdesk - http://www.team-blacksheep.com/contact. Let me know if oyu run into any issues and we can also try to request a warranty replacement on your behalf.
I also noticed that you have made a new order for some more Crossfire RX, so please double check the fault is not coming from the drone FC before powering everything up (verify output voltage etc.. from the FC is correct).
Best regards,

Hiya,
It was connected to the DJI O4 PNP receiver before and this was fully functional, so I’m fairly certain the receiver is dead. It’s also getting very hot to the touch so is definitely receiving power from the FC, however there’s nothing else from it other than the heat.
Yeah I thought as much, I’ve sent through a warranty claim directly to them. I’ve since ordered another receiver so will know for sure if the one I ordered from you guys is dead. I’ll see what TBS say. Bit of an annoying situation, quite hard to test a receiver without a build to put it on.
Hi there,
Thanks for the update, and I’m glad to hear you’ve already submitted a warranty claim directly to TBS, that’s definitely the best route for this. Let me know if you have any issues with that.
For your new build, I’d recommend using a multimeter to check for continuity between 5V and GND before applying power, and using a magnifier or microscope to inspect for bridges, especially on these tiny Nano RX pads
Good luck with the new build, and let us know if there’s anything else we can help with!
Best regards,
Unmanned Tech Support
