The GEPRC TriPro LR60 is your go-to light 6-inch cinematic cruiser, designed for leisurely floating about rather than racing past trees at ludicrous speeds. Weighing in at a mere 343g, it comes equipped with the DJI O4 Pro for those glamorous aerial shots you’ve always dreamed of, although you might want to steer clear if your plans involve indoor flying or frequent encounters with the ground.
In terms of battery choices, it’s a bit of a tale of two chemistries. The 3,000mAh Li-ion pack offers approximately 25 minutes of smooth sailing—ideal for those picturesque mountain lines—while the 2,200mAh LiPo transforms the craft into something that could actually move, hitting around 140kph. Just be mindful of the clever (or perhaps too clever for its own good) Betaflight 4.5.3 that comes pre-installed—it’s a touch behind the times and could use a little TLC in the firmware department.
On the modular front, the camera and VTX cage are refreshingly easy to swap out, making it somewhat of a versatile darling in the cinematic world. But let’s not sugarcoat it: the GPS performance leaves much to be desired and its Rescue mode doesn’t inspire confidence.
So, if you fancy capturing the great outdoors without the thrill of racing, and don’t mind a bit of tinkering, the TriPro LR60 could be just the ticket. But do remember to check those settings before you take off—you wouldn’t want to get caught in a game of chicken with a tree, now would you?
