Emlid has rolled out a new RTK lineup that promises to keep your field time free from the usual faff. Say hello to the Emlid Reach RS4, Reach RX2, and RS4 Pro – all equipped with all-band GNSS capabilities, faster IMU tilt functions, and a magnesium body that’ll make even the toughest of surveyors nod in approval. They’ve ditched the fiddly setup so you can focus on, you know, actual surveying.
The RS4 boasts a new chipset that deftly handles signals across L1 to L6, meaning it’ll work like a charm even under tree canopies and in urban canyons. Emlid has also upgraded their radio tech, offering dual-band functionality which plays nice with existing RTK systems. Plus, the added quick-release mounting system means you can say goodbye to wrestling with screws — because who has the time for that?
For those who don’t need the full bells and whistles, the Reach RX2 offers a simpler RTK experience while still including that nifty tilt feature. And for the more adventurous types, the RS4 Pro brings dual HD cameras and AR staking into the mix, perfect for measuring those tricky spots without needing to contort like a pretzel.
In short, the latest Emlid offerings are designed for those who prefer their equipment to just work without constant babysitting. Less fiddling, more doing.
