DJI Lito X1—mini, clever, and less silly on price

This is a companion topic for our recent blog post on blog.unmanned.tech

The new DJI Lito X1 is here to rescue those who want a camera drone without having to remortgage their home. Weighing in at a featherweight sub-250g, this folding beauty boasts a 1/1.3-inch sensor, 4K video capabilities up to 60fps (and slow-mo at 100fps for those dramatic moments). With omnidirectional obstacle sensing and ActiveTrack 360, it’s practically begging you to take it out for a spin. The price tag? A wallet-friendly £599 for the Fly More Combo with the RC2. Less ouch, more wow.

DJI’s gone and filled its Lito range with features that make the previous Mini models look like they’re still stuck in the past. Sure, there’s the cheaper Lito 1 for those who prefer to live on the edge of budget, but if low-light flying and smarter tracking tickle your fancy, the X1 is where you want to be. After all, you can’t put a price on avoiding tree branches in the dark—well, not a stupidly high one, anyway.

Inside the box, you’ll find not just the drone but enough battery power for a full day’s escapades, plus a charging hub that doubles as a power bank because, let’s face it, you’ll likely need that after all those hours of filming. And for the tech-savvy among us, the onboard storage and the potential for clip-on ND filters are just the cherries on top of this well-rounded cake.

So, if you’re looking for a drone that combines nifty tech with a dash of affordability, the DJI Lito X1 might just be your new best mate in the great outdoors. After all, who wouldn’t want to shoot cinematic footage without feeling like they’ve had to take a second job to fund it?
